N°35 AOP Pézenas
Vines are located in the heart of Languedoc, on clay-limestone and shale hillsides, enjoying Mediterranean climate. The Pézenas appellation is bordered to the east by Hérault river and sheltered in the north by the Black Mountain.
At the crossroads of oceanic and continental influences of the Loire Valley in the Loir-et-Cher department, the vines are located on a terroir of tuffeau chalk, sand and flint clay from the Paris Basin.
The vineyard is located on clay-limestone soil in the heart of the Pic Saint Loup appellation area. At 30 km north of Montpellier, it benefits from a climate that is more subject to rainfall thon the rest of the Languedoc and is characterized by strong thermal amplitudes between day and night in summer. This microclimate brings the tljpical freshness of this terroir.
The vines are located in the heart of the appellation on a predominantly clay-limestone terroir, rich in red ruffes and shale. The grapes benefit from favourable conditions for obtaining optimal maturitty due to the altitude of the vineyard and the winds coming from the mountainous plateaus of Larzac.
